Hello Nicolas,

I am the only breeder in Canada. I have imported 8 of the 10 working lines available for the Cesky Fousek. I researched, found and purchased the top dogs in the country and also
imported frozen semen from top stud dogs in the Czech Republic.
The great thing is that Quebec is only 5 hours away from Cambridge, Ontario. One hour west of Toronto.
I am the first individual to import the Cesky in numbers that will help them establish a secure well bred population in North America.

Hello Scott,

The Cesky Fousek is virtually identical to The WPG’s genetically and in disposition. I believe that when it comes to having your dog as an indoor or outdoor dog it should be strictly a personal choice that suites you and your families life style. As far as the difference I can tell you that the Cesky has a 3 coat insulation factor in place and it will not have it if the dog is kept indoors. Needs the weather change. Outdoor dogs have a much thicker coat that develops to protect them from the temperature difference and protection when hunting.
Some families are filled with activity through out the day and the dog is better off in his or her own space. One important factor to REMEMBER is that all dogs require attention and love and EXERCISE to keep them healthy mentally and physically.

I have read several comments from owners of WPG’s that say to be prepared to have the dogs in the house with you. Is the Cesky Fousek similar in nature? We have a pole barn with kennels where we house our dogs. They are well cared for as the barn has electricity and water, is heated and also has industrial ceiling fans for the hot summer months. We spend a couple of hours every evening with our dogs as we have five acres which includes a pond so they can get plenty of exercise and attention each evening.

Just a note to your web site that my personl experience as hunting dogs shows they are second to none in the industry. I have run my male dog for 9 years now and there is no comparison to any other breed for intelligence, performance in the field
